Management of the Plateau state Polytechnic has been told to ensure regular training and retraining of its workforce especially in report writhing and communication skills in line with globalization. Chairman governing council of the institution Professor Angela Miri gave the advice while declaring open a three day workshop for academic board members and senior registry staff of the polytechnic. Declaring the workshop with the theme ‘Advance report writhing and presentation’ open, Chairman governing council Prof. Miri commended the management for organizing the event and called on participants to take the training serious, she said any institution that does not take the training of its staff seriously is doomed to fall adding that reports writhing and communication skills are necessary for success.
Rector of the Polytechnic Dauda Gyemang represented by his deputy Ishaya Dala promised that the management will continue to train its workforce in line with the 21st century globalization. In a remark, Jos area manager of the Industrial Training Fund Lami Dakwak said ITF as a human capacity building organization will continue to collaborate with institutions for its efficient and effective service delivery. Earlier coordinator of the workshop Gabriel Yiltoka said the essence of the event is to enlighten staff on procedures of writhing quality report for the institution, the event organize by the management of the Polytechnic in collaboration with Industrial Training Fund will feature presentation on topics including proposal writhing, types of reports and power points presentation.
