Jos East flagged off 2014 tree planting

Jos East LGA has flagged off the 2014 tree planting campaign with a call on the people of the area to imbibe the culture of planting trees.

Flagging off the exercise, Council Chairman Rtd Brigadier General Samuel Abok notice that tree planting has it benefits especially in environmental protection and checking global warming.

The Chairman said the local administration has procured tree seedlings which will be planted in strategic areas within the Local Government Area, the Council Secretariat Headquarters. Abok uses the forum to reinstate the determination of his administration in executing projects that has direct bearings on the lives of its citizens. The Chairman equally appeal to the people of the area to continue to live in peace with one another to create room for meaningful development to take place.
