Bokkos Chairman donated relief materials worth 2 million to displaced persons in Bokkos

Relief materials worth more than two (2) million naira have been presented to victims of recent attacks on Mbar community and environs in Bokkos local government area. The gesture, according to the council’s chairman Monday Kassa, is to alleviate the plight of the internally displaced persons at various camps in the locality.
Presenting the relief materials to victims of the attacks at Pilot Primary School Bokkos campsite where some of the displaced persons are taking refuge, the council chairman Monday Kassa assured them of their safety, Kassa said the little the council can afford for now will caution the condition they are facing as the council cannot compensate all the loses and urged them to be their brother’s keeper.
The chairman called on the state and federal government emergency management agencies and other spirited individuals to come to the assistance of the displaced victims to enable them go back to their various homes.
Responding on behalf of the displaced persons, Mrs. Hannatu Bitrus thanked the council chairman for assisting them, she used the opportunity to appeal to government and other philanthropists to come to their help.
Items distributed includes 100bags of rice, 30bags of garri, 20bags of sugar, 40cartons of indomie, 10bags of salt, 10cartons of maggi cubes, 20jerricans of palm oil, 20bags of millet, 10bags of corn and 35cartons of assorted detergent.
