ECWA invested N40million for the take-off of its Gowon Microfinance bank

The Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) has so far invested over 40million naira for the smooth take-off of its Gowon Microfinance Bank. ECWA President, Rev. Jeremiah Gado stated this at the official commissioning and commencement of Gowon Microfinance Bank at the bank premises.
While commissioning the Microfinance Bank, Rev. Gado said the bank will help mobilize resources that will help reposition ECWA for effective and efficient gospel ministry as well as enhance service delivery. Finance development officer, Central Bank of Nigeria Jos branch, Garba Kasim applauded the ECWA initiative and expressed readiness to assist and support them. ECWA finance director Moses Kolawole said the vision to establish a microfinance bank represents another milestone designed to reposition the finance of the church through economic empowerment and pulling their resources towards the achievement of greater synergy. Contributing, Chairman – board of directors, Gowon Microfinance Bank, Panyil Ponando while thanking ECWA executives for mobilising resources for the establishment of the bank urged members of the church to take advantage of the opportunity to improve on their economic fortune. The bank is open to people of all faith and is named after one of the church’s pioneer members, Walter Gowon.
