Plateau state chapter of the National Orientation Agency’s (NOA) Director, Mr. Bulus Dabin has sued for a re-bused development of Jos and neighbouring Local governments in to a mega city tourism centre in the country.
Dabin made this novel idea known during Plateau Peace Architectural Dialogue, organise by Search For Common Ground (SFCG) at the Cabinet office of the state secretariat in Jos, the state capital.
He call on the governor-elect, Bar. Simon Lalong to work on a tourism plan that will cover Jos-East, Bassa, Barkin-Ladi, and Riyom local government areas in other to served as a revenue derived to the states and the nation at large.
He said, “our weather has giving room for a classic tourist paradigm were people from other continent of the world will find it attractive for both relaxation and business developers in the state.
Dabin maintains that , “we must stop indigenizing city and indeed avoid building slums in other to enable it grow attractive like Katsina state”.
He urged the good people of Plateau state to bear in mind that, every federal allocation giving to the state is not for Plateau indigen alone. But, it is for the entire Nigerian citizens residing in the state to be benefit from it as well develop the state.
The director urged the incoming governor to give attention to human capital development,agriculture as well as investing in dry season farming were farmers will be economically empowered in the state.
