Jang commissioned the NYSC camp in Mangu and dedicate it to Yakubu Gowon

Plateau state Governor, Jonah David Jang has commissioned the National Youth Service Corp orientation camp in Mangu LGA and dedicate the camp government spend over N2.9billion to constructed to the founder of NYSC, General Yakubu Gowon.

Jang said it is the first permanent NYSC camp constructed in the state since the establishment of the corp 42 years ago, he maintained that the situation in temporary camps before this project was completed is embarrassing to the state because of the deplorable conditions corp members were subjected to.

State NYSC Coordinator Abdulazak Salahu described the event as the most defining in the history of the Corp in the state saying the orientation camp is the best in Nigeria. Commissioner of Urban development Sylvester Dangtoe added that in addition to facilities such as modern hostels and a large auditorium in the camp, it has a water supply system and sport complex, Dangtoe said the project is 95% completed.

Similarly Plateau State Governor Jang has commissioned the Bicich – Mangu Hale road.  Governor Jang expresses joy for the completion of the 80 km road saying it is 1 of the oldest projects of his administration, he express satisfaction with the job and added that the completion was delayed due to poor performance by the perilous constructing firms. Commissioner of works said government spend over N5billion  on the road project which was expose to 5 neighboring communities, he added that the road is an alternative link to the central and southern zone of the state. Community leader Da Bulus Musa expresses gratitude on behalf of the benefiting communities.
