An NGO based in Jos, Premium Youth Network (PYN) is appealing on the just sworn in Governor, Simon Bako Lalong to revisit the case of the elected chairman of Lantang LGA Chief Dan Dul and swear him in with immediate effect to ensure that the much needed development is brought back to the locality. While congratulating Lalong for assuming the helm of affairs in the state, Jesse Nanden Zwalda an activist and leader of PYN urges Lalong to go through his campaign promises and try to fulfill them, he said though not easy he can try and work on the most important ones. He further said that as a lawyer, Gov Lalong should strengthen the judicial system as he promised and be fair to all. Chief Dan Dul had contested the local government polls under the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP) and was alleged to have won but Governor Jang refuse to do the needful even after being compelled by the court to do so. Chief Dan Dul of DPP polled 20,773 votes to defeat Nanmwa Kumzhi of the PDP with 18,145 votes, to emerge winner of the February 25, 2014 LG elections in Langtang LGA of Plateau State but was not recognized as Chairman and has been in and out of court for over a year now.
