Jos NGO raised alarm over recent activities of commercial motorcycles in the Jos- Bukuru metropolis

A Jos based NGO, Center for advocacy for Justices and Human Rights has express concern on the recent commercial motor circle  operators activities within the Jos-Bukuru metropolis in the state. The statement signed by the group’s acting director Tamukat Golut noted that the continues operation of motor cycle in the city undermined the laws  which was passed by the Plateau State House of Assembly and calls for the prosecution of the law in addition to the payment of N20,000 fine. The statement also noted that apart from physically deforming or killing their passengers as a result of the frequent motor cycle crashes, organized crime has also been linked with commercial motor cycles which the NGO said should be restricted.

The center therefore called on the state government and security agencies to act fast to save the Jos Bukuru metropolis from the ugly experiences of commercial motor cycle business.
