Plateau state government has set two committees to investigate the purchased of medical equipment for the new government house clinic and vehicles by the past administration. Secretary to the state government Rufus Bature inaugurated the committee on behalf of the Governor at the mini conference hall in Ray field.
According to the Bature the constitution of the 2 committees which has been approved by Governor Simon Lalong became imperative following the reports by the transition committee which recommended the need to urgently set up the committees to investigate certain abnormalities in respect to the purnchased of medical equipments for the new government house clinic and vehicles by the immediate past administration. Bature added that the setting up of the committee is not intended to witch-hunt anybody but rather to ensure that due process are followed and action taken are in line with government polices, the secretary to the state government enlighten the committees interms of reference and duration for the assignment.
Chairman on committee to investigate the purchase of vehicles, Ezekiel Gomos and that of medical equipment of the house clinic Dr Nandul Durfa responded and accepted on behalf of the committees.
