The Plateau State House of Assembly has appealed to the State Governor Simon Lalong to move in to the new government house at Little Rayfield, this followed the notice of motion raised by member representing Mikang constituency, Hon. Daniel Nanlong.
Hon. Nanlong explained that in view of the task ahead of the State Governor and for effective governance, there is need for him to settle down for administrative conveniences. Speaking in support of the motion, member representing Kanke constituency Jacob Kasam, Joshua Madaki representing Jos East constituency and member representing Shendam constituency Henry Yilkup said moving the seat of government to little Ray field is in the interest of People.
Presiding over the seating, speaker of the house Hon. Peter Azi directed that a copy of the resolution of the house should be sent to the state governor, also on the floor of the house was the motion of urgent importance brought by member representing Shendam constituency Henry Yilkup on obstruction of traffic at a result of broken bridges in some communities in Shendam local government areas.
Addressing the situation, member representing Riyom Daniel Dem moved that the house committee on works visit the site so as to advice the government appropriately, the motion was adopted by the house. Still on the floor of the house was the motion on the law to provide for the establishment of the plateau statistical system and the plateau state Bureau of the statistics for the collection, compilation, analysis storage and dissemination.
