Plateau State Ministry of Works opened tender for the construction of roads across the state

Plateau State Government through the Ministry of Works and Transport has shown desire to improve the living condition of his citizenry and opened tender for the construction of roads in some parts of the state, the tender which is opened at the ministry’s board room have in attendance House Committee members overseeing the agency, and the contractors needed in the projects.

In the advisement in some national daily in line with the public procurement act the ministry of works and transport has opened the tender of which contractors are needed for the Rantiya road network covering 10 km, Wild Life-Miango to Rafiki road covering 4 km and the construction of Kalum bridge.

Addressing the contractor before the opening of the tender permanent secretary ministry of workers and transport Mr Sunday Hyat explained that the condition for the award contracts will strictly be followed, some of the conditions the permanent secretary said are the substantial turn over in construction works supported by evidence from highly reputable banks , evidence of registration with corporate affairs commission, comprehensive company profile including key professional staff and their roles designation, years of experience and qualification among others.

According to Sunday, the scope of work, involved but not limited include side clearing up to the limited of construction work , road markings and road signs. House committee chairman of works and transport Istifanus Mwansat accompanied by member representing Langtang North North Constituency Amos Kuntum said the 3 role are already been captured. Mwansat said the house will not do substandard work from any contractor as they will be embarking on inspection on the projects when they are awarded. climax of the event was the public opening of all the contracts for the 25 contractors to that of Rantiya , 16 contractors to Miango-Wild Life-Rafiki road while Kalum bridge was opened to 13 contractors.
