Plateau to Benefit from an ADB Assisted Project on Water Supply

Plateau state is to benefit from the African Development Bank assisted project on water supply and sanitation, already a team of experts from the Federal Ministry of Water Resources, finance and health sectors as well as representatives of the African Development Bank are in the state on a visit and to work out modality for the implementation of the project.

The visit of the African Development Bank with other key federal government ministries is to discuss and explore ways of implementing the project in collaboration with same state government ministries, in his remark, a representative of the African Development Bank Mr, M.Tom who intimated Governor Simon Lalong on the choice of Plateau State for the project saying they are in the state to design a program that will address the water need of the people of the state.

Mr. M Tom told governor Simon Lalong that the visit is to avail them the opportunity to brainstorm with the various stake holders on how best to implement the project. The interaction with the technical team of the state is to enable them discuss key compliment of the projects and issues needed to resolve concerning water project.

Responding Governor Lalong represented by SSG Rufus Bature thanked the bank for the choice of Plateau state for the project and assured them of government support towards a successful implementation of the project. Lalong encouraged the team to feel free to interact with stake holders in the state as the people are peace loving saying the friendly weather is another key element that investors should take advantage of, contributing the representative of the federal ministry of water resources Galadima Abubakar and that of ministry of finance William Kamali explained that Plateau state is among state selected to benefit from the second face of the project.
