NBA Jos branch rounded up its Law Week with a thanksgiving at Redeemed Church

The Jos branch of the Nigerian Bar Association has rounded up its Law Week and Justice Dauda Azaki’s Memorial lectures with a thanksgiving service held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Strong Tower parish Miango road, Jos.

Speaking on the topic “Thanksgiving, the secret of good living”, Pastor in-charge of the Church David Olu said whoever fails to thank God will not enjoy good things in his life, describing thanksgiving as a lifestyle of holiness.

Taking his text from Psalm 100, the cleric stressed that King David lived a life full of praises to God hence admonished Christians not to relent in thanking God at all times in order to attract his blessings. Chairman of the 2015 Law Week, Solomon Umoh a Senior Advocate of Nigeria appreciated all those that contributed in one way or the other especially members of the profession for making the Law Week a huge success, urging them to remain active in their activities to upgrade their association to higher heights.

Also speaking, Chairman of NBA Jos branch Barr. L Dafer while thanking God for a successful Law Week expressed appreciation to the leader of the Church for allowing the legal practitioners round up their event in his Church. On his part, alternate Chairman of the Law Week planning committee, Tope Kekemeke explained that the Law Week had great impact on them, stressing that the Sunday Service is meant to avail the practitioners with the opportunity to appreciate God for their profession, he added that the Law Week which started on the 24th of November has provided an opportunity for them to update their knowledge and also interact with their learned colleagues.
