Governor Simon Lalong said he is committed to partnering with all Plateau citizens home and abroad towards harnessing the state’s numerous tourism potentials and restoration of the much needed peace in the state. Lalong stated this while receiving on a courtesy visit Nigeria’s music sensation, Tu-Face Idibia at the Presidential Lodge Government House, Rayfield.
The Governor said he was highly elated and honored by the visit affirming that the restoration of peace and development of tourism in the state is one of the cardinal points of the rescue administration on the Plateau. Lalong called on Nigerian citizens in the country and in Diaspora to key into such laudable initiatives by engaging youths in recreation through sports and entertainment so as to discourage them from engaging in violence while creating job opportunities. Earlier, the Jos born Nigerian platinum artist Tu-Face Idibia said the visit was a home coming for him and performed at Miz Palace event centre in Rayfield as part of his contribution towards promoting peace and development of tourism in Plateau state. Organizer of the event, Emmanuel Aduku who like Tuface also hails from Benue State said it was his passion to work collectively with Government and other private organizations towards the restoration of Plateau state status as the home of Peace and Tourism.
