Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly Peter Azi has called on Religious bodies in the State to pray and support those in leadership position for the smooth running of government; the Speaker stated this at the Thanksgiving service held at the Parliament Church, Dogon Karfe Jos.
He also emphasized the need for Religious leaders in the State not to only pray for those in authority but they should preached peace to their subjects, while congratulating the Parliament Church for organizing the thanksgiving, Azi encouraged Christians not to be discouraged while serving God.
Contributing, Deputy Speaker House of Assembly Adamu Gagdi noted that the members of the 8 Assembly are doing everything possible to carry everybody along irrespective of their religious or tribal affiliation.
Also speaking, member representing Mikang in the Plateau State House of Assembly who is also the Chairman of the thanksgiving committee, Nanlong Daniel and wife of the host Pastor Evelyn Kanos speaks on the blessings of thanksgiving.
Guest Speaker, Rev. Stephen Dangana who took his reading from the book of Judges admonished the congregation to always give thanks to God for what He has blessed them with.
The thanksgiving service has song ministrations from different Church groups as well as prayers and thanksgiving offerings.
