PLSHA Deputy Speaker to sponsor over 500 SS3 students from his pocket in January 2016

The Deputy speaker at the Plateau State House of Assembly, Adamu Yusuf Gagdi has reiterated his commitment to meet the yearning and aspirations of his constituency as promised during his campaign to seek their mandate as a legislator. Yusuf Gagdi stated this during an interactive session with his constituency in Kantana of Kanam local government area.

Addressing his constituents from 4 zones selected for the interactive session, Hon Gagdi spoke strongly on the need for people to unite and close ranks for the development of the constituency in view of the slow pace of infrastructural development in the community. Gagdi noted that his interface with his constituents just after 6 months in office is to appraise the situation in the constituency, pave a way forward and to present his score card as it is one of the basic responsibilities of being a legislator.

He added that 17th January 2016 has been selected for the foundation laying ceremony of a town hall and a constituency office at Dogon Ruwa as well as the payment of SSCE school fees of over 500 SS3 students in the constituency in addition to the distribution of over 200 motor Bikes all with his personal salary and investments.

The law marker assured his people of collaboration with the state government and federal legislators to address the poor and deplorable state of road networks in his constituency. Cross section of constituents who spoke at the interactive section appreciated the initiative of the legislator which is said to be the first by any representative and assured of their support.

The Deputy Speaker in turn urges his constituents to be law abiding, showing understanding and support to the present government for the growth of the state. He assured of continued interface with his constituents to keep them informed of development in the State House of Assembly and government policies.
