Governor Lalong advocates welfare enhancement to the Nigeria Army

Governor Simon Lalong has advocated enhancement of welfare and adequate equipment of the Nigeria Armed forces to enable it performed it duty effectively. Governor Lalong stated this when he received the House of Representative committee on the Army led by its Chairman Rima Shawulu Kwewum on a courtesy visit.

While acknowledging the efforts of the Buhari led Administration in Nigeria towards insuring the Armed Forces is adequately equipped to performed its primary responsibility, Governor Lalong appeal to the law makers to implement laws that would improved the welfare of the Nigeria Armed Forces considering the pivotal role they play in keeping the peace within and outside Nigeria.

Earlier chairman of the house committee on Army green house chamber of the National Assembly Rima Shawulu Kwewum said they were in Jos the Plateau State capital on an over side function of touring all military formations and institutions in Nigeria with the view of actualizing the adoption of legislative agenda on the need to modernize and upgrade the Nigerian Army to perform it primary responsibility.

Hon Rima Shawulu Kwewum said after the tour by various committees, a comprehensives result will be laid down before the house to facilitate it involvement in the United Nations program of security sector reforms that will enable the military streamline human right into its activities.

The Chairman House committee on Army assured that the National Assembly will not relent in its support towards the realization of the United and economically strong Nigeria.
