The Plateau State Government has assured that all abandoned projects in the State by the past Administration will be completed. State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development Samuel Galadima made this known while on an inspection tour of Health, Educational and Road projects in the Southern zone of the State.
The Commissioner was accompanied by the permanent secretary and Directors in the Ministry to the inspection visit to the 5 km road in Ba’ap , Government secondary school Kurgwi in Qa’an Pan Local Government Area, Government Girls Secondary school and the General Hospital in Shendam. Others are the Government Secondary School and General Hospital Mabudi in Langtang South, Government secondary School Garkawa in Mikang, General Hospital and Government Secondary School in Langtang North Local Government Areas.
According to the Commissioner, the Lalong lead administration is poise towards ensuring the that they meet the mandate of the people by achieving the 5 pillar trust adding that funds will be released immediately to Contractors handling the projects to enable them complete the work.
Galadima assessed the ongoing projects so far and called on the Contractors to ensure quality work in Health and Education sector as it is among the most basic need of the people. Some of the Contractors on site complain of funds and insecurity as some of the factors against the completion of the projects.
Earlier, the Commissioner visited the Committee chairmen of Qa’an Pan and Shendam Local Government Areas where he intimated them on the purpose of his visit and solicited their support in ensuring that the project sited in their areas are monitored and protected.
