About 50 women and youths in Jos North and Bassa LGAs have be trained in various skills, the training put together by member representing the constituency in the House of Representative, Suleiman Kwande in collaboration with Small Minimum Enterprises Development Agency, the event took place at the Jos Business School premises in Rayfield.
Beneficiaries were trained in poultry farming, block making and confectioneries. Declaring the training closed, member representing Jos North/Bassa constituency, Suleiman Kwande warns beneficiaries against the misuse of money and equipment that will be giving to them stressing that they are meant to empower them. Kwande promised to continue with the program and urged beneficiaries to venture into businesses that will enrich their lives.
Wife of the Plateau state Governor, Regina Lalong represented by her Chief protocol officer applauded the lawmaker for the initiative adding that her office will continue to support such gesture. There were good will messages from the zonal chairman APC, Lawrence Buge and that of Jos North Local Government Maikudi Hassan who both commended Suleiman Kwande for delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
Some of the participants appreciated the law maker and promised to make judicious use of the training.
