The newly appointed Coordinator of Operation Rainbow in Plateau state Gen. Steven Go’ar promised to key into the present administration’s policy of trust in maintaining peace and security saying the welfare of the citizens of the state remains paramount. The coordinator stated this while taking the mantle of leadership from the permanent secretary of the outfit.
While thanking Governor Simon Lalong for the confidence impose on him to serve in that capacity and promising to bring his wealth of experience to bare in the discharge of his duty, Go’ar solicits the corporation of his staff towards achieving peace and security of lives and property properties in the state, however noted that for the outfit to achieve its mandate, they must work as a team irrespective of tribe, religion or ethnic affiliation.
Permanent secretary of the ministry, Naomi Garba while handing over said the outfit was established as a result of the unrest and security challenges which threaten to engulf the state. She promised to give the coordinator the necessary support and corporation and pray for God’s wisdom in order to succeed. The coordinator later toured the ministry’s facilities.
