Plateau and Bauchi State Governments has promised to support the Nigerian Bar Association NBA with funds to complete a section of its ultra modern headquarters complex in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja. Governor Simon Lalong disclosed this during a State banquet in honor of the Nation’s executive council of the NBA at the Government House in Rayfield in Jos.
Lalong said he met with the Bauchi State Governor Mohammed Abubakar after the opening of the Nation’s Executive council meeting of the NBA and deliberated on how to contribute their quota in advancing the Association to new frontiers, he said they agreed to complete the construction of at list 1 of the 12 floors of the new complex of the Association’s headquarters in Abuja. This he said is to enable legal practitioners to continue being effective in protecting human rights, social justice and the rule of law. The Governor stress that his Administration will continue to encourage the hosting of the event that attracts stakeholders across the Federation because such is good for the image of the state, saying Plateau State is looking forward to hosting NBA’s conference next year.
