Nigerian Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools commends Lalong’s administration

Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong has lauded the effort of the Nigerian Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools NCOPSS towards impacting good moral values in students. Lalong made the commendation when the Nigeria body of the association paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Jos.

Governor Lalong trough his Deputy Prof. Sunni Tyoden commended (NCOPSS) for chosen Jos for their National executive council meeting noting that is it a clear testimony that peace has returned to Plateau State. The Governor noted that Government has established a cordial relationship with the State chapter of the body and stressed optimism that the partnership will be sustained

Lalong particularly commended NCOPSS for the choice of the theme of the conference ‘Moral Vices in Nigeria, sound dedication as a panacea’. The Governor stressed that Teachers must also be sound to be able to teach good morals to their students, he noted that since coming on board of the change Administration in the State, promotion of Teachers and other workers has been one of Government priorities and assured of prompt delivery on its mandate.

Earlier President of all Nigeria Conferences of Secondary Schools, Dr. Fatima Abdulrahman noted that the association which was established 59 yrs ago can only be sustained when scholars in the educational sector convene periodically to brainstorm on silent issues affecting learning in the country. Abdurahman also commended the Plateau State Government for the prompt promotion of it members and the turnaround being witnessed in the education sector.
