Citizens of Bokkos Local Government Area had been admonished to key in to the wide range of business that abound in Plateau State especially with the ongoing digitization process of its media sector, Management Committee Chairman of Bokkos LGA, Luka Makut gave this charge during a sensitization exercise on the digital switched over organized for stake holders by the Local Government Council information unit in collaboration with the National Orientation Agency office in Bokkos.
Makut noted that with the unlimited TV viewing time and demand for set boxes, citizens should venture into program production showcasing the cultural, natural and human heritage of Bokkos pledging to support any initiative of such. The council chairman implores those in attendance to further enlighten members of their respective communities in the knowledge acquired in view of its importance to Plateau being the pilot state.
Speaking on the journey so far as it relates to digital switch over and the level of compliance with the state TV section, the director of public enlightenment and orientation, Plateau state ministry of information Harris Dawurang said the Lalong led administration deserves commendation with its committed towards meeting the set date line for the station. Stakeholders at the occasion were given an insight on the significant process and requirements of digital switch over in a paper presentation by Mrs. Emmanuel Akila.
