Hon. Theresa Azi appealed to the state government to complete Farin Gada market

Management Committee Chairperson of Jos North LGC, Therese Azi has appealed to Plateau State Government to come to the aid of the LG towards the completion of the market at Farin Gada. The chairperson made the appeal during a visit to the site with the management team to assess the level of work. According to the chairman, the market at Farin Gada in Jos North LGA if completed will be a source of revenue for the development of the LG and the State at large, the chairperson frown at the level of encroachment on the land by the people of the surrounding community urging them to desist from buying landed properties without knowing the history of the land.

Earlier the LG’s Director of Works who led the chairperson and her management team round the site also took them round the entire land which covers 6 hectares of land. The director informed the chairperson that the burnt down Jos Main market necessitates the idea of constructing a central market in Jos North/East to ease trading.
