The Plateau United FC of Jos has sacked its technical adviser Zakary Baraje due to the team’s poor performance in the ongoing 2015/2016 Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).
A statement signed by the Media Officer of the club, Albert Dakup, said that the decision became necessary in order to save the team which is currently 14th on the league table, with 22 points from 17 matches from total collapse; he also announced the appointment of a former player of the club, Victor Wikadason, to replace him.
Mr Dakup said “The club observed a communication gap between the technical adviser with his assistants and the players which is affecting the success of the team. Despite the free hand given to Baraje, he has not justified the huge confidence reposed in him by turning around the club’s fortunes.”
Victor Wikadason, a former captain of the team will be assisted by Audu Isa Pele and Morris Longmiap
