Plateau State Government has announced that work on the inland depot in Heipang will resume immediately and operations will start in a few months.
Plateau State Governor Bar. Simon Lalong stated this during a meeting with the executive secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council, Mallam Hassan Bello at the government house in Rayfield. Lalong said his government has fulfilled the 6 conditions giving by the council in order for work to resume saying his government is interested in collaborating with the Nigerian Shippers Council to complete the abandoned Inland deport at Heipang.
Executive secretary of the council Hassan Bello said the conditions giving has been fulfilled within a record time and the dateline for the project completion is being put in place. Bello said the depot has the most suitable location in Nigeria because of its linkage with transport systems and as such indicates the economic potentials are enormous. Responding, Governor Simon Lalong promised to continue to partner with the council to fulfill its dream to insure that the deport take off in the next few months.
