PLSG compensates last year’s victims of chlorine gas leak with N2.5million each

The Plateau State Government has finally compensated the victims of last year’s chlorine gas leak from the water treatment plant at the Water Board in Jos, Plateau State with the sum of 20 million.

Last year 25th of July 2015, expired cylinders stored at water board treatment plant accidentally leaked and affected over 100 persons who lived closed to the plant killing eight personswhile about 100 were hospitalized.
Meeting with the victim’s family, Plateau State Commissioner of Water Resources, Eng. David Jafaru Wuyep yesterday commiserated with the families of the victim and gave out the sum of 20 million, which N2.5 million to the families of each of the victims as is promised.
He said, “We will go further than that to reach out to their various state governments in terms of support so that those that lost bread winners are given employment and scholarship for students.”
