PLSG committed to counterpart funds payments

Plateau State Government has said that, it is committed to upholding its entire counterpart funding in respect of any important projects coming from any international donor agencies.
Governor Simon Bako Lalong said this Friday when he hosted the delegation of European Union E.U led by its leader, Jeas Hoeger at new Government House, little Rayfield, Jos.
The Governor further said, apart from the present Government concern on improvement of water and sanitation in the State, it will do everything possible to remove the impediments and Bottle necks that would constitute to the start of the project in the state.
Governor Lalong then assured the European Union E.U representative that, the present Rescue Government will co-operate towards the commencement and completion of the water project in the State.
Speaking earlier, the European Union EU delegation leader, Jens Hoeger while thanking the Governor for his approval and disbursement of funds in respect of the water supply and reform project, said, with the approval, work will soon start in the two (2) benefiting local Government Areas of the state, as the project would not only improve water and sanitation in the State but increase Revenue profile of the Government.
Mr. Hoeger while thanking the Governor for his commitment to the project, stressing that, EU could not affords diversion of the project.
