ACPN’s 36th Annual National Conference commences today in Jos

The Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN) 36th Annual National Conference tagged  “Jos City 2017” commences today Sunday July 2nd – Friday July 7th, 2017 with the theme: ” Community Pharmacists Role in Nation Building Past, Present and Future” at the Eliel Event Centre, Gold and Base in Jos, Plateau State.

Briefing pressmen, the National Chairman of the Association of Pharmacists of Nigeria, ACPN, Dr. Albert Alkali said the conference will address issues like the community pharmacists contribution to nation building and making the health sector to function better.

He also said they will tackle the issue of quacks selling and dispensing drugs through apprenticeship under patent medicine store operation saying there is need for serious awareness on handling and selling drugs.

The conference which will be declared open by the Plateau State governor Simon Lalong on Tuesday 4th July 2017 will feature a week long activities such as a walk against drug abuse to be led by the first lady Mrs Regina Lalong, donation of De-Worming drugs at Airforce secondary school and a novelty match with the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ).
